Vickers Electronics has announced the launch of VickersVision, which works alongside its flagship V42 energy management system. VickersVision allows existing customers to access their energy management systems remotely either by using an app designed for mobile devices or via a web browser on desktop devices.
Vickers’ V42 energy management system is a centralised control unit which interfaces with existing industrial heating and regulates consumption using highly accurate digital sensors which are strategically placed throughout the site and are calibrated to ensure accuracy to 0.1oC. VickersVision gives its customers enhanced flexibility when updating their Vickers energy management system settings, by making VickersVision available on both mobile and desktop devices. Those responsible for energy consumption can monitor and alter the system from anywhere they choose – whether that be on site, anywhere in the UK or even abroad. VickersVision’s simple easy-to-use interface gives its customers total visibility and control over their heating systems and energy consumption.
The V42 energy management system is self-learning, using predictive technology and many innovative energy saving features, which adapt heating settings to dramatically reduce cost, consumption and carbon emissions. The V42 energy management system factors in unpredictable issues such as the weather, open doors, manual errors, machinery malfunctions and more.
David Hilton, Managing Director of Vickers Electronics, said: “VickersVision gives our customers the flexibility they require – even when monitoring their energy consumption. This is a fantastic addition to our energy management systems, our customers need to be able to access their site heating wherever they are and VickersVision allows them to do this. It’s the next generation in the ever growing sector of energy management as companies across the UK seek to reduce their energy usage, and thus reduce the bills and the high costs associated with them.”
Eliot Buckby, Maintenance Manager of Hörmann (UK), said: “At Hörmann (UK) Ltd. we’ve been using the newly launched Vickers Vision for 8 months and it has proved to be a useful tool in overseeing our energy consumption and temperature control of our site. Using The Vickers Vision Alongside our Vickers energy management system has given us greater flexibility and control over how we manage our business day-to-day and giving all users flexibility to control the Energy Management system whether it be on the go using an Ipad, or at their computer. The system is very user friendly and the technical support is first class which is a great bonus.”
Vickers was awarded with the accolades of Energy Product of the Year from the Environment and Energy Awards 2014, a Gold Green Apple Award within their Energy Saving Category, Green Business of the Year at the Trafford Business Awards and is accredited by the Carbon Trust.
