Addagrip were delighted to have been asked to help out on Alan Titchmarsh’s new home and garden makeover series for ITV called ‘Love Your Home and Garden’. In this first series, comprising of 3 episodes, the programme features households belonging to truly inspirational people who have given so much to the community and are deserving of the gift of a new home and garden.

The third home and garden is for an amazing couple, Richard and Ann, who live in Chester. Richard has been a volunteer with the Samaritans for 42 years, he and his wife have also fostered over 20 children over the last 10 years and are also volunteers and puppy trainers for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Richard is a volunteer at Samaritans’ Chester, where he is also Branch Prison Support Officer. Richard has been awarded the British Empire Medal for services to the Samaritans.

As part of the makeover, Addagrip approved contractor RBS Ltd from Doncaster installed a resin bound porous pathway in the garden leading from the house to a seating area and garden room. Terrabase Rustic does not need an invasive concrete or asphalt base so was the perfect surfacing system to provide a smooth, hard wearing, low maintenance, natural aggregate porous pathway with a rustic feel using a 6-10mm Rustic Oak blend. The resin bound system ensures that there is no loose aggregate and can be power washed to maintain its beautiful appearance.

The deserving couple were delighted with the makeover carried out by Alan and his team and we wish them many years of enjoyment from the enhancements to their house and garden.

Addagrip would like to thank our approved contractor Resin Bonded Surfacing Ltd for installing the pathways and to Long Rake Spar for donating the aggregates for our Resin Bound system.
