At Dundee and Angus College in Scotland, a new 500m2 roofing system was required as part of the refurbishment of an existing sports hall roof. With an eight week shutdown period, BriggsAmasco specified the Mach One insulated system due to its excellent thermal properties and ability to meet the tight deadline.
The company supplied and installed the complete overlay solution comprising Mach One insulated system, new access ladder and permanent edge protection. Comprising a polyester glass-fibre composite reinforcement with exceptional mechanical strength and stability, the Mach One single layer roofing system can be mechanically fastened, ballasted or bonded with polyurethane adhesive.
To transform the internal environment with quality natural daylight, BriggsAmasco also replaced the 12 ageing rooflights with 4 new high performance barrel vault rooflights.
To maintain excellent levels of health and safety throughout the programme of works, and to comply with Health and Safety Executive (HSE), BriggsAmasco erected a full birdcage scaffold within the gymnasium to enable operatives safe and easy access to the working area.
With just eight weeks to complete the project – from 30th June to 22nd August – the College required a fast, efficient and proven roofing system from a reliable and trusted specialist contractor. Utilising the company’s skilled team, BriggsAmasco completed the installation on budget, on time and to the highest standards.
