Roofing specialist Hyflex has transformed an ageing roof at Coalway Community Infant School in Gloucestershire, with the company’s cold-applied Hyflex 10 waterproofing system making the single storey classroom building watertight, weatherproof and fit for the future.
For client Gloucestershire County Council, the single roof refurbishment had to be completed during term time and with minimal disruption to occupants. With health and safety of both students and teachers absolutely paramount, the cold-applied Hyflex 10 system proved to be the most efficient, economical and safest solution available.
Hyflex 10 is a high performance waterproofing system made up of rubber modified, bituminous coatings reinforced with two polyester carriers. Using proven coating technology, the system combines an effective and lightweight waterproofing solution with a cost-efficient, quick application.
Ideally suited for use over traditional roofing membranes, such as asphalt and reinforced bituminous membranes, it is applied in liquid form and so is particularly suitable for intricate detail work. Seamless, easily maintained and with a long life expectancy – the Hyflex 10 system met and exceeded the client’s demands.
The new roofing system was delivered to an exceptional standard, ensuring a fully bonded totally waterproof system that will serve the building for many years to come. High-performance materials, outstanding workmanship and the expertise demonstrated by Hyflex ensured that the roof met and exceeded the client’s demands.
