Hanson Structherm has produced three new videos showcasing the installation of its EWI and SEWI systems: Structural External Wall Insulation – Low Rise, Structherm NCS2 Low Rise External Wall Insulation and Structural External Wall Insulation – High Rise.
The videos are available to view on the Hanson Structherm website (www.structherm.co.uk) as well as via You Tube and show the typical installation process and finishing options available.
The systems are used extensively in the refurbishment of social housing, high rise blocks and non-traditional housing and provide an efficient and cost effective way of improving the thermal performance, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions and lower energy bills. The SEWI system also extends the life of defective properties which might otherwise have been demolished.
Damian Haigh, Hanson Structherm marketing executive, said: “We developed the new videos to help give contractors, local authorities, housing associations and builders a better understanding of how the different systems work. Importantly, they also show just how little disruption is involved in their installation, allowing residents to stay in their homes while the work is being carried out.”
