When a series of roofs at Brentwood School began to fail, BriggsAmasco was appointed to deliver a clean, robust and long term solution. Utilising a highly-skilled team, the company installed a complete roofing and insulation system in just 12 weeks to bring the building up to the very latest waterproofing and performance standards.
As Principal Contractor on the project, BriggsAmasco was appointed to install new waterproofing and insulation on five different levels across the school’s Courage Hall building. To improve thermal performance and ensure complete waterightness, the company specified a new 1,200m2 roofing system comprising 120mm thick Thermoroof PIR insulation and a Sarnafil G410-EL waterproofing membrane.
With weight a key consideration for the overlay, the technical benefits of the Sarnafil system proved crucial to the specification. Meeting both performance requirements and allowing the roofs to be laid within 12 weeks, the market proven system helped to deliver the project on time and on budget.
Completed with the school in full operation, BriggsAmasco ensured close co-operation with the client to deliver the highest standards of health and safety. The BriggsAmasco team also worked closely to ensure that all sections were suitably integrated to deliver the most robust solution.
Working to a tight programme in a live school environment, BriggsAmasco ensured the deadline was met with a high performance and durable roof. The company’s exceptional workmanship and attention to detail, along with a market proven product, contributed to a roofing system that will make the grade for many years to come.
