Surestop recently joined a high volume of visitors to celebrate the opening of a new Age UK Birmingham store in Erdington. The store, officially opened by Erdington MP Jack Dromey, is located in a prominent position on the High Street, joining four existing stores in the region.
Surestop has collaborated with the charity to create a new initiative as part of its Handyfix scheme. The scheme provides older residents with the option to have the Surestop Stopcock installed in their homes by volunteers of the charity. Surestop will supply Age UK Birmingham with its unique range of products and installation training.
Noel O’Donnell, sales director at Surestop, is delighted with the opportunity to support a locally based charity, saying: “The ability to partner Age UK Birmingham is a great privilege for us. The key objective is to deliver a fast and convenient way to introduce the Surestop Stopcock to those who may be more vulnerable to the risk of water damage and flooding. Working with Age UK Birmingham allows us to achieve just this.”
Mike Robinson, head of operations at Age UK Birmingham, commented: “Surestop is a fabulous product, especially for our customer base. I am sure that this product will be popular as it makes the stopcock far more accessible and easier to switch off the water. It’s great to be able to deal with a Birmingham based company and I would like to thank Surestop for their support and training.”
