Insulation specialist Celotex has once again demonstrated its innovative credentials with the launch of Celotex SL5000. Specifically targeted at concrete soffit liner applications, Celotex SL5000 is an exciting new addition to the company’s ‘5000’ series premium performing product range.
Designed for concrete soffit liner applications, Celotex SL5000 is a premium performance thermal insulation board combining premium performance PIR insulation bonded to 6mm calcium silicate, providing additional fire performance. With a super low lambda value of 0.021W/mK, SL5000 ensures Regulatory compliance is achieved with minimal insulation thickness.
Celotex SL5000 provides on-site benefits too, significantly reducing installation times due to the insulation and calcium silicate being supplied as one product. Delivering greater impact resistance compared to exposed insulation systems, SL5000 provides a decorative finish with no need for on-site decorating.
“As an innovator within the insulation sector, we are always looking to develop solutions for the most challenging applications,” said Paul Evans, Head of Marketing at Celotex. “Celotex SL5000 further enhances our range of solutions and achieves Building Regulation targets with thinner solutions than many other insulation materials.”
Offering excellent sustainable qualities, the insulation component of SL5000 is A+ rated when compared to the BRE Green Guide and Class O fire rated.
Available in thicknesses from 86mm to 106mm and a board size of 1200mm x 2400mm, Celotex SL5000 can be installed by direct fixing to the concrete soffit or by indirect fixing via treated timber battens. The Celotex Technical Centre are on hand to answer and technical queries for existing or future projects. Visit celotex.co.uk for contact information.
Celotex has a long and proud history of continuing to develop new and innovative solutions. With a clear focus on maximising thermal efficiency with thinner solutions, the new Celotex SL5000, gives specifiers a solution for concrete soffit liner applications.
